Static Plant & Machinery Fire Suppression System
Market leading Fire Suppression Systems for Static Plant & Machinery
Static plant can have higher risks due to both the location and the required workload. With customer expectations placing pressure on timeframes, the machinery is often running 24/7. When based indoors, especially where combustible materials are involved, static plant fire suppression becomes essential. An unattended fire can spread rapidly and have devastating consequences.
Fireward offers tailored static plant fire suppression systems, including protection for additional equipment connected to your static machinery. Our solutions are designed to reduce downtime, protect assets, and meet industry safety standards.
Solutions for Static Plant and Machinery:
- Research institute Sweden P-Mark SPCR 199 specification is available.
- Additional safety features include battery isolation, machine shutdown, and multiple external manual actuation.

Static Plant & Machinery Fire Suppression System FAQ's
Static plant fire suppression systems protect fixed equipment such as shredders, conveyors, balers and material processing machinery. Unlike mobile plant systems, which protect vehicles like excavators and wheel loaders, static systems are tailored to machines that operate continuously in one location. These systems provide constant 24/7 protection against the risk of fire caused by sparks, overheating or build-up of combustible materials.
Fireward systems use market-leading detection technology with only a single moving part, ensuring rapid and reliable activation. Once a fire is detected, the system releases the suppression agent directly at the source of the flames within seconds. Because the system is fully automatic, it protects machinery around the clock — even when no operators are present — offering peace of mind and minimal downtime.
Our static plant fire suppression systems are 3rd party accredited to international standards, including P-Mark SPCR183, SPCR199 and AS-5062:2016 (both awarded an A+ rating). Every system comes with a three-year parts and labour warranty, reflecting Fireward’s commitment to long-term quality, durability and safety.
The Dual Agent system combines dry powder for rapid flame knockdown with wet chemical to cool hot surfaces and engine components to prevent reignition. This dual approach protects multiple fire classes, making it especially effective in static environments where machinery is exposed to mixed risks such as oil, dust and flammable waste materials. By reducing the risk of fire spreading or reflashing, Dual Agent technology delivers the highest level of protection.
In addition to ultra-fast fire detection and extinguishing, Fireward systems include a range of safety enhancements. These features include manual actuation points for operators, automatic machine shutdown to stop fuel sources, sounder beacons to connect with your alarms systems, end of line gauges to monitor system pressurisation in various locations (remove indirect release) and battery isolation to cut electrical power. Together, these measures maximise protection for both machinery and personnel.
