£12.7 Million in Assets Protected from Fire in 2025

41 Real Fire Events.
41 Successful Suppressions.
Between January 1st and December 31st 2025, 41 genuine fire incidents were detected and suppressed by our automatic fire suppression systems installed on machinery operating across the UK.
Each incident involved a live ignition event inside high-risk equipment. Each system activated automatically. Each fire was suppressed within seconds.
The total value of machinery protected from complete loss due to fire was £12,755,000.
This figure represents real assets that continued operating instead of being written off.
Protection Across Multiple Machinery Types
The 41 fire activations were not limited to one type of equipment. They predominantly occurred across both vehicle fire suppression systems and static plant fire suppression systems.
Loading shovels, shredders and material handlers accounted for the highest number of activations. These machines operate in environments where heat, hydraulic systems and combustible debris significantly increase ignition risk.
However, suppression events also occurred on:
-
CNC machinery
-
Production lines
-
Agricultural equipment
-
Generators
-
Maritime vessels
This distribution shows that fire risk exists anywhere machinery combines fuel sources, electrical systems and sustained operating temperatures.
Industry and Sector Breakdown
The systems were activated across a broad range of industries, reinforcing their adaptability in different risk environments.
Waste and recycling recorded the highest number of fire events, followed by landfill operations. These sectors are particularly vulnerable due to combustible material streams, battery contamination, dust accumulation and constant heavy-duty machine cycles.
Beyond waste environments, activations also occurred in:
-
Manufacturing and machine workshops
-
Distribution centres
-
Paper processing facilities
-
Maritime applications
-
Power generation sites
This confirms that vehicle automatic fire suppression systems and static plant automatic fire suppression systems are critical across multiple industrial sectors, not just traditionally high-risk waste operations.
What Happens When a Fire Is Detected
Machinery fires escalate rapidly, particularly within enclosed engine bays and hydraulic compartments.
Using pneumatic fire detection, the system identifies a rapid temperature rise at the ignition source. When the detection line ruptures at the hottest point:
The suppression agent is discharged directly onto the fire
Flames are knocked down immediately
Reignition risk is significantly reduced
Activation occurs automatically, without operator intervention.
That immediate response prevented 41 separate incidents from becoming catastrophic losses in 2025.
£12.7 Million Protected From Total Loss
The £12,755,000 figure reflects direct asset value alone.
It does not account for:
-
Operational downtime
-
Lost production output
-
Insurance excess and premium increases
-
Business interruption
-
Health and safety implications
When a single machine can be worth hundreds of thousands of pounds, early detection and rapid suppression is not optional. It is operational protection.
Fire Risks in Heavy Plant and Industrial Machinery
Heavy plant and industrial machinery operate in environments where ignition sources are constant.
Engine bays generate sustained heat
Hydraulic systems operate under high pressure
Electrical components can arc or short circuit
Debris and dust accumulate in confined spaces
Without integrated fire protection, a small ignition can escalate into full asset loss within minutes.
Built-in Fire Protection for High-Value Equipment
Automatic fire suppression systems are engineered to integrate directly into machinery, providing continuous monitoring and immediate response.
Whether configured as a single agent automatic fire suppression system, dual agent automatic fire suppression system or clean agent automatic fire suppression system, the objective remains the same:
Detect early
Suppress instantly
Protect the asset
The 41 activations recorded in 2025 demonstrate measurable performance in real operating conditions across the UK.
