With just one week to go until the Cereals Event 2026, the Fireward team is looking forward to exhibiting at one of the UK's leading agricultural events. This year's show is being hosted at Diddly Squat Farm, made famous by the popular TV series Clarkson's Farm.
Visitors can find Fireward on Stand #447, where we will be showcasing our agricultural machinery fire suppression system fitted to a Merlo TF35.7 telehandler. The Single Agent (Dry Powder) automatic fire suppression system has been installed to provide rapid fire detection and suppression, helping to protect valuable agricultural equipment from the risk of fire. The machine has been supplied by Turney Group in partnership with Merlo UK & Ireland.
Telehandlers play a vital role across the agricultural sector, handling everything from feed and grain to bales and materials. However, they often operate in dusty environments and under heavy workloads, creating conditions where fires can develop quickly. Engine heat, electrical faults and the build-up of combustible materials can all increase the risk.
Automatic fire suppression systems provide a vital layer of protection by detecting and suppressing fires in their early stages, helping to safeguard operators, minimise equipment damage and reduce costly downtime during critical periods such as harvest.
